The 2018 Omega Seamaster Diver Two-tone 300m was released at Baselworld 2018. This 25th anniversary Omega Seamaster Diver 300M is the direct descendant of the model worn as the "James Bond" Omega by Pierce Brosnan during his run as Agent 007. For 2018, the Seamaster Diver 300M has been enlarged from to 42mm, enhanced with a display caseback, upgraded to a new METAS chronometer-certified caliber 8800, and fitted with a ceramic dial. The new ceramic dial, here in blue, marks the return of the beloved Seamaster "Omega wave" motif. A new Omega bracelet offers pivoted end links for superior fit on smaller wrists. The new diving clasp features the same combination of fold out dive extension and push-button incremental slider previously exclusive to the flagship Omega Planet Ocean dive watch family. The 2018 Omega Seamaster 300M is encased in 42mm of two-tone steel and Omega Sedna rose gold surrounding a blue dial on a steel and rose gold bracelet. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a reprofiled conical helium escape valve. The watch also measures 13.8mm in thickness and 50mm from lug-to-lug. A unidirectional dive bezel has been crafted from Omega Sedna rose gold and is fitted with blue ceramic bezel insert. Comparable watches include the Rolex Submariner 116610 and - by virtue of the helium release valve - the discontinued 40mm Rolex Sea-Dweller 116600.
