Mike Manjos is back in Philly (as usual) and has some major news concerning F.P. Journe and authorized dealers. But before getting to that, Manjos starts as ever with this week’s Stand Outs. Placing an emphasis on noteworthy dials, this week’s list includes the Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveler with an absolutely stunning enamel world dial, the famed “John Mayer” Rolex Daytona in gold with a green dial, and a Breguet Minute Repeater with a beautifully finished dial.

This week’s main story, of course, is F.P. Journe. In one year’s time the independent powerhouse will entirely discontinue allotments of their watches to authorized dealers in the U.S. and switch to boutique-only. To break it down, Manjos brings in F.P. Journe expert and fellow WatchBox employee, George Mayer, to talk about the likely ripple effects throughout the industry. During this special edition of The Pulse, Manjos and Mayer discuss what influence this move may (or may not) have on other brands, how it will tighten the supply line, and the inevitable price changes.
